A mandatory radio call instructing the attacking aircraft to immediately stop its attack. It may be issued by a JTAC, FAC, AFAC, flight lead, or any safety observer who identifies an unsafe condition, such as misidentified targets, friendlies in the line of fire, unexpected movement, or new threats.
On hearing "Abort, Abort, Abort," the attacking aircraft must immediately cease weapons employment, safe up, and follow agreed abort or egress procedures.
Application in DCS World
In DCS multiplayer, "Abort, Abort, Abort" should be practiced as a non-negotiable safety call. When heard on SRS, cadets must immediately break off the attack, safe their weapons, and report their status.
AI JTACs do not use this call explicitly, but mission designers and human instructors can script or role-play abort conditions to instill the habit of respecting this command without delay.
