Human Factors & Decision Making

Human Factors & Decision Making covers the part of flying that breaks pilots more often than systems do: the human brain under stress. This section explains how attention, workload, fatigue, fixation, startle effect, overconfidence and communication failures drive mistakes, and how structured decision tools like ADM help you manage risk. The goal is to make you a more reliable DCS pilot and cadet by improving judgment, discipline and error recovery, not just stick-and-rudder skill.
